Tony doesn't catch himself such as, Loch Duart Salmon Fillets, Smoked Haddock, Icelandic Plaice Fillets,
Jellied Eels (Barney's), Shell On Prawns, Peeled Prawns, Crevettes and Cockles. Also, Tony has Squid
(Falkland Islands unwashed - bait, always available frozen.

variety of eating places which include Indian, Chinese, Thai and two traditional fish and chip

Point Clears Martello Tower
The East Essex Aviation Society and Museum has been housed in the historic Martello Tower
at Point Clear since it opened in the summer of 1986. The Tower is one of the first built in 1805 to
repel a Napoleonic invasion expected from France.
It is also one of the few Martello Towers still open to the public along the Essex coast. Opening times throughout
the year: Monday 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. From April to October on Sunday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. In addition from June to
September on Wednesday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Extra opening on Bank Holidays. They are pleased to open the museum for
groups of a reasonable size at other times.

Dedham Vale is only 20 miles (32 km) away from your
holiday home, journey time by road 29 minutes. Explore Constable country along with Flatford Mill and
discover some of Britain's most enchanting and picturesque landscapes that inspired some of Britain's most treasured landscape paintings, such as the Hay
Wain.

Foot Ferry from Point Clear to Brightlingsea and East
Mersea.
The first recorded ferry ran between Point Clear and Brightlingsea in 1699. The ferry service is
seasonal and run's between June and September.
Brightlingsea on the River Colne is rich in seafaring history and has the distinction of
being the only Cinque Port outside of Kent and Sussex. The town is a haven for yachting and hosts
international sailing events annually.
Brightlingsea with it's sandy "Blue Flag beach" runs along Western Promenade next to Bateman's
Tower, a historic local landmark. A parade of beach huts line an attractive and enjoyable waterside walk where you
can join the nature trail along the site of an old railway line to Alresford Creek. A range of sports and leisure
activities are available along the promenade such as, windsurfing, surfing, canoeing, sailing, jet ski-ing and
sailing barges offer pleasure trips to visitors.
The Foot Ferry can also take you across to East Mersea
island. On Mersea island you will be
able to find, "The Gourmet Colchester Natives." Oysters that the Roman's some 2000 years ago declared were
"The only good thing to come out of Great Britain." These and Gigas (rocks)
oysters are freshly harvested from the West Mersea oyster bed's and are freshly available from the harvesting
Companies family run, "Company Shed Fish and Seafood Bar" on Mersea Island.

Along the banks of Brightlingsea Creek and the River Colne offer a
chance to study wild bird-life on the saltings or just watch the boat's, relax and enjoy the
day.

of our lovely coastline with pleasure flights from Clacton Aero Club. In August you can visit the Clacton Air
Show which is held along the seafront in Clacton-On-Sea. This important free event last's for 2 day's
and the 2009 show attracted a record 140,000 people.

From it's Victorian Pier to it's amusements,
shops, Quality Coast Awards and Blue Flag recommended and safe sandy
bathing beaches. Clacton-On-Sea is every bit a World famous traditional British Seaside Town on, "The Essex Sunshine Holiday Coast." Clacton-On-Sea is 6½ miles (10 km) from Point Clear
with a journey time by road of 19 minutes.

Britain's Oldest Recorded Town.
Colchester is 13¾ miles (22 km) from Point Clear with a
journey time by road of 34 minutes.

Has over 260
species and over 545 sub-species of animals, many declared as endangered or vulnerable. Over 70 species are
part of European endangered species breeding programmes. You can now see the endangered Amur Leopard in the
new Ussuri Falls enclosure. There are only 50 Amur Leopards left in the
wild.

Wivenhoe
Has plenty of delights to charm the visitor. Its history involves fishing, yachts, dinghies,
ships and smuggling; a pretty church, with a distinctive cupola on top of its sturdy tower, stands on the site of
the first church, built in Saxon times. The streets are small and quaint, leading into each other and ending at the
picturesque waterfront where fishing boats and small sailing craft bob at their moorings. When you fall in love
with it you will join the long line of artists, farmers, writers, shopkeepers and sailing folk who have lived here
and loved it too. And there's lots to see and do! Wivenhoe is 11 miles (18 km) from Point Clear with a journey time
by road of 27 minutes.
Walton-on-the-Naze
With the country’s second-longest pier, complete with train and
seafront leisure centre, Walton-on-the-Naze is always a big favourite with children. A walk along the seafront
reveals the unspoilt headland The Naze, whose sandy beaches and salt marshes are backed by high cliffs.
Walton-on-the-Naze is 15 miles (24 km) from Point Clear with a journey time by road of 34 minutes.
